CREATIVE LOAFING MOO & BREW FESTIVAL
On a beautiful spring day in 2014 Moo & Brew festival co-founder Ken Thomas was standing in the middle of the festival grounds at the Music Factory when inspiration hit. “I was just looking at the site and thinking that CLT could use a great party to kick off the spring and summer and that we had the perfect spot to do it. It should have great live music, a big selection of craft beer and amazing food and we should raise money for charity” recalls Thomas. With the creative juices flowing, Ken called his friend and Creative Loafing owner, Charles Womack, who loved the idea and they decided to add a burger competition to the mix and the Moo & Brew Festival was born. One year later on a perfect spring day the inaugural event made burger, beer and music fans in the Queen City smile and raised over $8,000 for Second Harvest Food Bank. The second year was equally as successful and helped establish this festival as an annual event that will continue to provide burgers, beer, music and good times for many years to come. We’ll see you next April!
